The Batcave's crowded enough already

Dick has this line near the beginning of Young Justice, but it doesn't make sense, since Jason, Barbara, and Tim have not become bat-sidekicks when he says it. The only explanation I could come up with is that the Young Justice version of the Batcave is barely big enough for just Batman and Robin.

Today Dad began taking apart the disused chimney shaft.

Here it is when he opened it up.

That's a bunch of insulation that's fallen down at the bottom there.

Here's a closeup of the inside of the roof.

Here's what it looked like after Dad had removed the chimney blocks.

It's in the same place, but now it's got a big hole in it. Mayhaps bats will come flying out?!?!

Two bears I made here:

The one on the left is Rumple, and the one on the right I didn't name. See, I made Rumple to give to my cousin for her baby shower, but he was too cute and I wanted him for myself (sound familiar?) so I quick made a second one for her. Polished up the design a bit too. (But Rumple is still the best.)

Things I've seen lately

Funny things I've seen around of late!

One funny thing was on the 4th of July at the town's firework display. There was this young nerd who had brought his Magic the Gathering cards to play during the fireworks.

I don't think he looked at the fireworks even once! Like, he purposefully picked the most distracting setting imaginable just to demonstrate his devotion to Magic the Gathering! Like LOOK! HERE I AM AT THE FIREWORKS NOT LOOKING AT THE FIREWORKS BUT AT MY MAGIC CARDS! THAT'S HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM!
You gotta admire that level of nerdom in one so young. XD

Another funny thing we saw while driving down to the Cities! By the side of the road there was a dead raccoon that someone had propped up in a mini camp chair.

Heaven only knows WHY.

And then there was the fair! I like being an old person at the fair; you're not obligated to find everything that isn't rides boring anymore. We went to the magician's show! The best part of it was midway through he had...

CHARLIE MCCARTHY! I *love* Charlie McCarthy. I've probably watched You Can't Cheat an Honest Man 300% more than anyone else my age.
Thing is, KIDS DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS. So they seemed pretty weirded out by my extreme reactions.

And now the weather.
THUNDERSTORMS!!!

A tree fell down! This might be the most exciting thing that's happened in this county in years!

But back to the fair...

I got Lonesome Pete spinning the same prize wheel I spun to get Dreyfus. He hasn't much to say.

Who'll be chief mourner?

All the birds of the air
Fell a-sighing and a-sobbing,
When they heard the bell toll
For poor Cock Robin.
