Halloween is past! Time for a post about it!
My costume, this year, was a scarecrow.
Here's me together with our fine actual scarecrow.
And here's me together with Mary.
She was dressed as Henrietta Baker from the 1988 terrible movie Ghosthouse.
And decorations!
Since there are just the two of us now, one pumpkin a piece wasn't gonna cut it. We each did three.
We've been slowly amassing other decorations as well. We all made one o' these paper plate pumpkins...
Mine
Dad's. He incorporated his 'grinning dog' into it.
And this is Mary's. O.o We've affectionately dubbed him 'SeƱor Hypertrichosis.'
And a couple other things I made...
And then of course, there was the one thing we still needed. Every holiday has, at least for me, the ONE quintessential decoration that it just doesn't feel like that holiday without. For our Halloween, it's this witch.
Had her for all of my memory, but she stayed back in Texas when we moved. Obviously, something had to be done.
And so it was!
Haha! The head we printed out, the quilt we laboriously copied by hand. You can see some differences, yes, but on a glance, it looks just the same to me! Halloween was saved! ^^
Most of it's taken down now, but the pumpkins are still on the porch. Where they're having a rather strange time of it, at the moment...
The snow has arrived. No doubt, this is what my Texan readers have been waiting to see.
More pictures shall follow as the season proceeds.
